Key responsibilities:
To support the rapid growth of Digital Video in Wroclaw, we are looking for Embedded Software Engineers to join our
highly skilled development teams.
Working as an Embedded Software Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop software for digital TV devices
- Communicate with customer as well as team members and project managers to solve complex technical challenges
- Take part in the architecture definition of complex digital TV systems
- Write comprehensive design documents and test plans
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of one year of experience in some of the following areas:
- C/C++
- JavaScript
- Object-oriented programming
- Linux programming; kernel, drivers, multi-threading, networking, multimedia frameworks (e.g. G-Streamer), application frameworks (e.g. QT)
- Embedded software development, either for device drivers, protocol stacks or embedded applications (C/C++) in particularity for customer premises equipment (CPE) devices
- product integration and system testing
- Digital TV (e.g. DVB, IPTV), networking standards
- Audio/Video/Media streaming over broadcast or IP channels
- DRM / CA implementation
- Build & test automation
- Familiarity with industry standard software development processes and version control systems
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Passion to learn and to work with new technologies
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Applicants must be willing to travel
- A strong interest in Digital TV technologies
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum software development team will be an additional advantage
- Excellent team work and ability to work in distributed international teams
