We have the need for another full time staff member to join our team. As an integral member of the team you will be a software engineer involved in the division responsible for the automation of managed services.
Duties to include:
- Design, implementation, documentation, testing and deployment of software
- Enhancing existing custom software solutions
- Some 1st and 2nd level helpdesk support for software clients and managed services clients
- Researching new software development tools and implementing their use
Prerequisites:
- Completed tertiary degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
- Strong English written & verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to documented procedures
- A strong commitment to working as a team member
- Logical and systematic approach to problem solving
Desirables:
- Understanding of software lifecycle
- Experience using Managed Services software
- Experience implementing software in a Managed Services environment
- Experience implementing scripts in PowerShell
- Experience implementing software using Microsoft Visual C#
- Experience implementing software using Microsoft Access
- Experience implementing software using Visual Basic
- Experience implementing software using Visual Basic for Applications
- Experience implementing software using Java
- Experience implementing web sites using PHP based frameworks
- Experience implementing and maintaining Microsoft SharePoint sites.
- Experience using source code control systems
- Understanding of the Microsoft .NET Framework
- Able to use and support users running Microsoft Vista, 7, 10 desktop operating systems & Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2 and 2016 operating systems
