Responsibilities:
- Migrating databases using various tools such as SQL*Loader, Import/Export and Data pump;
- Planning Database Backups, taking Logical Backups & Physical Backups;
- Accessibility Management for Databases;
- Knowledge in basic Performance Tuning and Monitoring using various tools such as AWR, TKPROF and Explain Plan.
- Automated File and Storage Management;
- Strong knowledge of 10g/11g features as Data Pump, ASM and Flash back recovery;
- Controlling User Accounts;
- Implementation and Testing security patches to the databases;
- Supporting instance parameters and system settings;
- Set up of Oracle Software/Database Pre-requisites;
- Enforcement patches/upgrades to maintain security level Technical Requirements;
- Realizations of Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support;
- Introduction of new technologies and design changes;
- Insuring that the processes are adhered to;
- Fixing technical issues;
- Processing tickets / requests;
- Be responsible for building / maintaining a test environment;
- Experience in cloning using cold backup, hot-backup and RMAN backup;
- Support team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems;
- Increasing and maintains customer and employee satisfaction;
- Database Resource Management and Task Scheduling;
- Cooperate with the Track Lead / Team Lead;
- Oracle Database Basic Administration and Latest Features;
- Observe to SLAs.
Skills:
- Has strong knowledge with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching - Datacenter understanding;
- Expertise in PL/SQL and worked on ER Diagrams;
- Knowledge of MySQL;
- Hand-on knowledge on Cluster ware;
- Worked on Production systems;
- Will be a big plus, a knowledge of Other RDBMS;
- Knowledge of MS OFFICE.
