Primarily responsible for International and US Website development and support. Responsibilities include design, development, implementation, and support of Web applications. The role requires production support functions including ticket reviews, production defect resolution, DR and on-call support.
Job duties & responsibilities include:
- International & US Web application development & Support.
- Java/J2EE Application support.
- Experience in Build, Deploy and configuration of Weblogic, Webservices.
- Tests, debugs, documents, and installs new applications and programs and work closely with development, infrastructure and DBAs.
- Monitor program execution for expected performance.
- Debugging the code, troubleshooting and finding the root cause.
- On-call rotation to support High Availability system.
- Respond to errors and emergencies within applications and programs.
- Perform installation of code releases and patches and write scripts or programs for IT applications.
- Debugging the code, troubleshooting and finding the root cause.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of databases and systems.
- Support for production and non-production environments.
- Work on issues/tickets reported by Business teams based on predefined SLAs.
- Very good understanding on Development life cycle, build and deployment process.
- Very good knowledge in Unix, Batch process, watching the log files.
- Experience in root cause analysis, problem solving, issue tracking, performance improvement and support.
- Provide updates to management when needed for outage/escalations.
- Identifying & Implementing Proof-Of-Concepts.
- Preparation and Review of Technical documents.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Computer Science related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- At least 5 years of IT experience in Java applications Development and Integration.
- Proficient and hands-on work experience in full stack Java developments.
- Proficient in Web application development (Weblogic, Java, Web Services, etc).
- Proficient in Oracle SQL, PL / SQL.
- Good understanding of Software development life cycle.
- Agile development knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with global delivery teams.
- Experience working on Production support environment.
